The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), of which GFWC Crystal River Woman’s Club is a member, is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. GFWC Florida Federation of Women’s Club (GFWC-FL) is our state federation, under which we also are federated.
GFWC Crystal River Woman’s Club is located at 320 North Citrus Avenue in beautiful Crystal River, Florida – just a short walk from the waterfront. The club was organized in February 1921 and joined the Federation in May 1921. In 1924, the club became an incorporated service club.
The general membership meets the first Monday of every month, September through May, at 1:00 pm. (Whenever a federal holiday falls on the first Monday, we meet the following Monday.) There is a luncheon prior to the meeting, beginning at noon. This is a great time to socialize and catch up on all the news in the members’ lives.
